Mr. Derrick Chasimba is a dedicated and passionate ICT and Computer Science teacher at Sandpiper International School, with expertise across all Key Stages — from Key Stage 1 to Key Stage 4. With a strong commitment to nurturing digital literacy, computational thinking, and innovative problem-solving skills, Mr. Derrick empowers students to explore technology creatively and responsibly.

He integrates hands-on learning, coding, and digital projects into the curriculum, ensuring that students develop practical skills alongside theoretical knowledge. At Sandpiper, he teaches foundational computing skills to younger learners, helping Kindergarten and KS1 students become confident with basic digital tools and responsible online behavior. In KS2 and KS3, he introduces programming concepts, interactive projects, and digital design, fostering analytical thinking and creativity. For KS4 students, Mr. Derrick guides learners through advanced Computer Science concepts, programming languages, data analysis, and preparation for Pearson Edexcel IGCSE ICT and Computer Science examinations.
